New Delhi: After lashing the region for last few days, rains on Wednesday gave a miss to North India leading to a slight rise in temperature and humid conditions.
The national capital witnessed a sunny and humid day as the maximum and minimum temperatures remained above normal levels.
While the maximum was recorded at 34.9 degree Celsius, the minimum temperature settled at 26.4 deg C, both one degree above normal levels.
Delhi has been witnessing rains for the past few days and the rain gauges had recorded 2.8 mm of rainfall yesterday.The humidity levels were high and oscillated between 86 per cent and 56 per cent.
Rains also evaded Punjab and Haryana today as the maximum temperatures hovered around normal range.
Ambala registered a high of 35.5 deg C while Bhiwani's maximum settled at 33.4 deg C.Hisar recorded a high of 34 deg C while Rohtak's maximum settled at 32.6 deg C after light rains, the Met office said.
Ludhiana and Patiala recorded identical highs of 33.9 deg C, with rains lashing the two Punjab towns.
Amritsar registered a high of 31.8 deg C after light rains.
Chandigarh recorded a maximum of 34.6 deg C.
